The First Presbyterian Church of Lake Wales is a member of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Synod, a small but historic body that was founded in 1782. Its roots are traced to the Reformation, particularly the work of John Calvin and John Knox. Scottish immigrants who came to America in search of religious freedom brought the faith to these shores.
Our local congregation was established in 1914. We adhere to the Westminster Standards as the comprehensive statement of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, according to the Word of God. We are a body of believers who seek fellowship with Christ Jesus and one another through true worship; congregational, family, and personal discipleship; personal evangelism; Christian service both within and outside the church; and home and foreign missions.
We would love to have you join us for worship on the Lord’s Day and to participate in any of our programs, classes, and/or ministries. Please take a minute to glance through our website to learn more about our ministries and activities. If there is any way that we can minister to you or your family, please call the church office at 863-676-0711 or contact us by the web.
