What is MOPS?   MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is an international organization for all moms of infants to kindergarteners, providing an opportunity to meet other moms and make the journey of motherhood together. First Presbyterian Church MOPS exists to equip, encourage, develop and bring moms what they want and need during this exciting time in their life.

What Do We Do?  Our group meets the second and fourth Thursday of each month, from 9 to 11 A.M., September  through May. At each of our meetings, moms enjoy a chance to socialize with other moms. We have a short time for announcements and refreshments provided by the women’s ministry of FPC, followed by a speaker (on a topic moms would be interested in) or a craft, plus a small group discussion that allows you to get to know other moms more closely.

Our MOPS group is supported by the Women of the Church by graciously providing childcare and refreshments each meeting for us.

Is Child Care Provided?  Yes—we provide a fun, nurturing environment for your kids to play and while you take a well-deserved break!

Is There a Fee for MOPS  International? The fees for 2010-2011 will be $23.95 for MOPS International membership (which comes with lots of goodies like a one-year subscription to MOMSense magazine, weekly MOM e-Mail filled with encouragement, MOPS logo “Freinds don’t let friends mother alone!” reusable shopping bag,  MOPS bumper sticker, No Mom Alone 2-in-1 frame magnet,  and MOPS bag tag that can be used on luggage, diaper bags or even your gym bag!)  Scholarships are available upon need.  Contact Coordinator for details.

Are there meeting fees for this group? We ask for a $4 meeting fee to help offset the cost of our crafts.
