Our focus is on God the Father although creation is not exclusively the work of any one person of the Trinity. Rather, in the beginning, the Father spoke ...
  • Creed: God, the Father Almighty June 21, 2017 Roman 8:12-17 Last week we looked at the doctrine of the Trinity (one God in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). This week we will dig a little deeper on the first person of the Trinity, God the Father Almighty. God Almighty God is the Almighty. In the Old Testament, one of His names was El ...
  • CREED: The Father…His Only Son…the Holy Spirit June 21, 2017 Creed: The Father…His Only Son…the Holy Spirit Romans 8: 1-12 Last week we began our study of the Apostles’ Creed by looking at the Biblical concepts of saving and living faith. • Graduation Sunday 2017 June 5, 2017 Mark 8:31-38 We dive into Mark’s Gospel on the heels of a vital turning point in the life of the disciples. In the passage immediately preceding ours (v. 27-30), Peter, speaking for many of Jesus’ twelve apostles, confesses that Jesus of Nazareth is the Christ. He is the anointed Messiah, long-promised, who has come to deliver ...
  • Jacob: Matters of Death May 14, 2017 Genesis 35:16-29 The passage today marks something of a close to the Jacob cycle of the book of Genesis. It deals with matters of distress, dedication, defilement, defiance, division, and death. Beyond these it points us to hope. Distress or Delight? In v. 16, we read that Israel and His people journeyed from Bethel (heading south) and that ...

He called them out of ...
